Gold Coast Airport in Brisbane, Australia, has extended its existing ten-year baggage and passenger technology partnership with IT firm SITA to 2024. The airport currently leverages SITA’s common-use passenger processing (CUPPS) platform AirportConnect Open, as well as its self-service bag drop and check-in kiosks. Queensland Airports general manager of technology Mark Allen said: “Gold Coast Airport had been one of Australia’s fastest-growing airports in the past decade. Throughout this time, SITA has been a trusted partner, ensuring we achieved our goals. “SITA’s ability to deliver a smooth transition to a common-use passenger processing system (CUPPS), with complete flexibility to embrace individual carrier requirements, has been particularly valuable.”
